You'll find somebody else

Don't tell Brother Brigham, originally uploaded by Dan Lilly.

I said we're through and the begging started. The "I can do better", the "I'll do ANYTHING".

If this had been a woman she would have promised a three way with her hot sister/roommate/cousin/mother. She would have promised to serve burgers and beer to a group of friends gathered for a football game and provided lap dancers at half time.

ANYTHING!!!

But it wasn't a woman.

It was a credit card.

"We have points, better interest rates, did I say BETTER? I meant LOWER! No annual fee. Roadside service! ANYTHING!!!!"

Sorry dude, I just paid you off. That means I paid you to go away like the high priced parasite whore you are.

"But......."

Rush Valley barn

Rush Valley barn, originally uploaded by Dan Lilly.

It was a spectacular day today. Went for a walk and a drive. Has the water filtration system installed in the house. A water softener and a reverse osmosis filter in the sink for drinking water. The wife is very happy.

Announcement

, originally uploaded by Dan Lilly.

I have decided that I will probably be returning to Bolivia in late January next year. Maggie is going and I will now go with her. I'm sorry to tell you Vancouver but this means I will miss the Olympics. You'll just have too carry on without me.

I hope to be there for both Alacitas (the festival of miniatures) and Carnaval.

Bricked up and ready to move, originally uploaded by Dan Lilly.

You could say this building represents my old port of Vancouver. I have now sealed it up and ignore most noises coming from within. The one difference is that I would implode it rather than moving it somewhere else. Or maybe drop it whole into a deep part of the sea.

"Militant Atheism"

, originally uploaded by Dan Lilly.

That's a term I never ever thought I would hear from a church conference speaker.

But there it was from a general authority of a church that has become quite political lately.

I went up to Salt Lake City to shoot the Mormon Conference scene. It was extremely entertaining to see the thousands of people and the dozen or so sign carriers. There was a rumor a few weeks ago that hundreds of protesters were planning on disrupting the conference because of the church's involvement in the California prop 8 election outcome.

Those turned out to be rumors. It was a fun day except that I got a bad sunburn on my face. I didn't think that possibility because it was only about 50 degrees all day.
