Comments:
Concerts I've seen.

First: Neil Young. Harvest tour. He was warmed up by an up and coming singer named Linda Ronstadt and her band the Stone Ponies. They went on to become an insignificant band called the Eagles.

Worst: Jefferson Starship. Freedom at Point Zero tour. It was my birthday. They got going real good and then played the Elvin Bishop tune "Fooled Around and Fell in Love". I was all WTF!!! and it got worse.

Best: Nine Inch Nails. 2005

Biggest crowd: Fleetwood Mac '77. Univ of Arizona stadium. 67,000. Also featured Marshall Tucker and Kenny Loggins.

Smallest crowd: Johnny Winter. Salt Lake City 1980. GREAT GREAT show. Go see him if you ever get the chance.

Most anticipated: Steely Dan. Phoenix 1994. My favorire band and this was the first time I was close enough to go see them.

Shows I saw that won't happen again:

Frank Zappa

The Pretenders (original line up)

Peter Tosh

Fairport Convention (amazing Brittish folk band) Sandy Denny deceased. Richard Thompson still tours.

The most rewarding: Yes.

My wife is a HUGE Yes fan and she grew up in Bolivia thinking of course that she would never see them live. Then she marries yours truly. We were in Tucson when they toured. When I told her they were coming to town tears came to her eyes.

We went to the show and she ended up with her hands on the stage for the encores. Jon Anderson and Chris Squire both waived and blew her kisses. She still lights up when I mention that show.

We have seen them three times since.

i would have loved to see the Pretenders. You are so lucky.

You are too funny. I love it!

Interesting form choice, using the comments for the post.

Way to subvert the dominant paradigm, Zona Boy.

subversive is my mantra
