I'm watching some moron let his 2 year-old daughter ride the luggage carousel. Now his wife is watching her.
What do you bet that if that thing sliced off part of her finger they would blame the airport and sue for negligence?

Yup--but maybe if you did it subtly...like, "oh gosh, i'm so relived...your child is still okay...I wonder for how much longer...??"

I'm a preschool teacher and I spend a large part of each working day trying to keep children in the same condition as when the parents dropped them off.
Consequently I have this reflex to watch out for other people's kids. I know it's annoying to some parents, but really if your child is about to fall on its head, you should be grateful even if a total stranger is pointing this out to you. Hmph. That's what I think. ;p
