I swiped this picture that Tony Pierce took to sum up the weekend in Vancouver. I'm older than most of the bloggers I know and read but when I walked into the Granville room and said I'm zona boy none of that mattered because we were all just bloggers and instantly friends.

And the smiles between all of us when we greeted each other all through the weekend were sincere. My wife was with me everywhere and she felt it too and enjoyed the conversations and interactions. My wife didn't know what a blog was or even that I had one but I showed her the blogs of all those who we met and I showed her mine and zipped by the Halloween party post really quick.

It was nice to get back stage to see Matt after the show and introduce him to my wife because he is one of my favorite musicians which puts him in company with Hendrix and Fagen and Elton and Matheny. Top shelf that went over the top when he asked if I was going to the second show and when I asked if it was sold out he asked his manager to take care of us for the next night and WHAM we were on the guest list.

Then the next night after the show his wife Jenny was kind enough to come to the backstage greeting area to tell my wife and I that he would not be coming out because he was just too tired and of course we understood and passed on our greetings and thank yous before walking to the car content in a weekend that seemed like the days when we were still dating as young love birds.

A wonderful weekend filled with new and old friends who now part until some next time perhaps when the planets align again but until then I look from my space as they all shine in the distance of memory and wish them safe journey and happiness.
